Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare is the Redmond company’s first industry-centered cloud platforms. It leverages tools like Dynamics 365 Marketing, Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Azure IoT. Healthcare organizations can tap into the solution to roll out new patient experiences with a focus on improving patient outreach and satisfactions. Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare expands on Microsoft’s current cloud services to allow faster collaborations amongst teams. By working in Microsoft Teams, the platform makes it easier for organizations to coordinate and communicate.

Tom McGuinness, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Health, Microsoft wrote a blog post discussing the benefits of the platform: “It makes it faster and easier to provide more efficient care and helps customers support end-to-end security, compliance, and interoperability of health data. A robust partner ecosystem extends the value of the platform with additional solutions to address the most urgent challenges the healthcare industry is facing today.”

Features

“Create an individualized patient experience that facilitates information sharing and nurtures preventative care, well-being, and better outcomes. Help care teams quickly and easily collaborate, coordinate care, and generate insights that help improve workflow effectiveness and patient outcomes. Reveal valuable data insights that help improve team efficiencies, support data interoperability, and simplify data compliance. Help ensure the security, compliance, and accessibility of sensitive health data to promote patient privacy and trust.”

Healthcare groups can also build virtual agents on the platform. Automation will allow tasks like data analysis and real-time insights to further productivity. An integration between Power Apps and Microsoft Teams allows customers to receive insights quicker than before. During the six-month preview period, Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare was available for free. Moving forward, health organizations must pay for the platform.
