Leading the improvements is Reflect, a new feature that will help students highlight their emotional skills. With this feature, students can share their feelings more efficiently when they receive an assignment. For example, they can share characters (known as Feelings Monsters) or emojis to show how they feel. If you are eye-rolling at that, remember, this is for kids and young adults. With this ability, Microsoft Teams users can access a summary of their meeting. This automatically generated overview covers the whole meeting. Hosts and other enabled participants can access transcripts, chats, notes, and recordings from the chat tab or details tab. An upgrade to Microsoft Teams’ participant view means you can now see nine users at once, more than double its previous 4. With more and more team members using the workplace chat app for conferencing, it’ll be much appreciated when it launches this month. Many users are noting that after years of requests, nine users still hasn’t met their expectations. Competitor Zoom, for example, supports up to 42. While taking to the stage at Samsung’s Unpacked Galaxy Note 10 launch today, Microsoft pointed to an upcoming feature that will allow users to receive calls on Your Phone. This will mean when a call comes through to a device being mirrored, the user can take the call on their Windows PC. Microsoft did not offer specifics on how this feature will work and we are interested to see if users can also make calls from their PC without touching their smartphone....

To accomodate the feature, the app creates a new ‘Assigned to me’ list. This seperates the tasks to avoid crossover or confusion. Naturally, users require a work or school subscription to make use of Planner, and must opt-in to the integration. To save annoyance, it doesn’t populate without the user’s consent. Microsoft has not yet officially named the next feature update for Windows 10. Instead it has moved through the preview process under the codename Redstone 4. Yes, the decade old platform is still going strong and much used amongst businesses. However, support for Win7 will end in 2020. While that is two years away, Microsoft wants organizations to make the jump to Windows 10 now. With that in mind, the company used last week’s Inspire event to make a plea.
